Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Duke Health Integrated Practice. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing direct and indirect care to patients, working closely with our healthcare team to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform intake procedures, including vital signs, visit information, and medication review
  • Prepare patients for diagnostic tests, such as EKGs and holters
  • Assist with phlebotomy, EKGs, and other clinical procedures
  • Participate in performance improvement projects to enhance patient care
  • Float in clinic to cover patient and provider needs as delegated by nurse manager or health center administrator
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program
  • Certification by AAMA, AMT, NHA-CCMA, NCMA, or ARMA
  • BLS certification
  • 1 year of clinical experience as a Medical Assistant, Certified in a clinical setting (Level II)
Work Environment

This position is a day shift, Monday-Friday, with no weekends or holidays.
