Environmental Services Director

Wickshire Senior Living is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Services Director to lead our maintenance, housekeeping, and security teams in providing a safe, attractive, clean, and well-maintained living environment for our residents and guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and develop a high-performing team of associates, ensuring excellent customer service and adherence to company policies and state regulations.
  • Develop and implement effective maintenance and housekeeping strategies to ensure the community's facilities and grounds are properly maintained and safe.
  • Collaborate with subordinate supervisors and staff to ensure timely and efficient completion of tasks and projects.
  • Manage departmental budgets and financial metrics, including salary expense, overtime, purchasing, and overall expense control.
  • Lead the RFP process for capital purchases, renovation projects, and service agreements, ensuring compliance with established budgets and policies.
  • Ensure all required and necessary service contracts are in place and renewed timely to optimize service while minimizing expense.
  • Participate in the leadership of the community's emergency preparedness programs, purchasing and ensuring the proper operations and availability of emergency equipment.
  • Maintain accurate and timely accounting of services chargeable to residents and submit to the business office.
  • Lead and assist with the setup and tear-down for special events and activities.
  • Ensure safe and proper storage of cleaning supplies, chemicals, tools, and equipment.
  • Oversee and participate in on-call assignments to ensure timely after-hours response to resident emergencies and physical plant problems.
  • Participate in and attend all in-service training and education programs as scheduled.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of compliance and ethics program policies and procedures.
  • Complete all mandatory compliance, HIPAA, and state and federal regulatory training as required.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years related experience, with at least 1 year of experience in a management role.
  • Exhibit good time management and organization skills.
  • Proficiency in a wide variety of general maintenance tasks, such as painting, basic carpentry, minor drywall repair, installation of assorted fixtures, and electrical and plumbing repairs that do not require a license.
  • Possess the ability to handle complex issues.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, and Outlook).

  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
