Position Summary
We are in search of a meticulous and systematic Logistics Specialist to oversee the management of material logistics within our central warehouse. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring prompt processing of material requests, managing the receipt of materials both physically and in our accounting system, and maintaining effective inventory oversight. This position requires the ability to lift, lower, and transport packages typically weighing up to 70 lbs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process inventory items through the financial management software.
  • Physically locate and organize inventory items.
  • Handle non-inventory items according to return merchandise authorizations (RMAs).
  • Manage the processing of decommissioned inventory returned from the network.
  • Address discrepancies between receipts and invoices in collaboration with Accounts Payable.
  • Facilitate standard and freight shipments using the shipping vendor's online platform.
  • Maintain comprehensive shipping logs for all transactions.
  • Issue inventory items to projects as per system requirements.
  • Stage, reserve, and allocate inventory items based on system requests.
  • Create and manage inventory item identifiers in the financial management software.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts of inventory items.
  • Perform periodic physical inventory counts.
  • Establish and maintain storage designations for inventory items.

Qualifications
  • Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary within the company's operational areas.
  • Successful completion of a drug screening and background check.
  • Experience with OSHA Fork Truck operations is advantageous.

Experience Requirements
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in logistics or warehouse roles, or equivalent experience.
  • Prior experience in a warehouse or procurement environment.
  • Familiarity with inventory management in the telecommunications or fiber optic sectors.
  • Proficient in MS Office and data entry tasks.
  • Experience with Oracle software is preferred.
  • Knowledge of vendor online platforms.
  • Understanding of shipping software for UPS and FedEx.

Education
  • High School diploma is required.

Compensation and Benefits
The compensation for this position ranges from $15 to $24 per hour, commensurate with experience. Our pay structure is determined by role, level, and location, ensuring fair compensation based on individual skills and qualifications.
