Position Overview


The Planning Analyst within the Planning Department will be instrumental in facilitating demand forecasting, conducting analysis, and collaborating with the scheduling operations of the organization.

This role involves close cooperation with the manufacturing scheduling team to scrutinize essential data, create forecasts, monitor performance metrics, and deliver actionable insights aimed at enhancing scheduling efficiency and resource management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work alongside the manufacturing scheduling team to formulate and uphold precise planning forecasts and budgets.
  • Examine planning and scheduling data to uncover trends, discrepancies, and areas for enhancement in resource efficiency.
  • Compile and present detailed reports and presentations on scheduling performance, coordinating with Finance on financial metrics and optimization recommendations across manufacturing facilities.
  • Track and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) associated with scheduling operations, identifying improvement opportunities and executing strategies to boost performance.
  • Assist in the creation and execution of scheduling policies, procedures, and controls to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and best practices.
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses and offer decision-making support to management as required.
  • Engage cross-functionally with other departments, including Sales, Finance-Cost Accounting, Project Budget Analysis, Operations-Project Management, and Manufacturing-Schedulers and Plant Managers, to bolster company-wide initiatives and projects.
  • Remain updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies pertinent to planning and scheduling analysis.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline is preferred. An advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial analysis, accounting, or a related field, ideally within a scheduling or operational context.
