Job Summary:

The Petroleum Inspector is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of volume measurements and temperature readings of commodity materials. This role involves traveling to client locations for on-site inspections and performing routine equipment calibration, verification, and function checks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Volume measurement, temperature measurement, and sampling of commodity materials
  • Visual inspections of lines, pumps, manifolds, shore tanks, rail cars, tank trucks, barges, and ships
  • Complete custody transfer surveys of commodities transferred to and from rail cars, tank trucks, shore tanks, barges, and ships
  • Maintain work areas, records, and equipment in a clean, organized, and functional condition
  • Understand and adhere to Caleb Brett safety procedures

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license and reliable driving record
  • Basic grasp of basic mathematics and work in an automated environment
  • Ability to work on an on-call basis
  • Cannot have a fear of heights
  • Must have or be able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Industry certifications
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with shifting priorities and demanding deadlines
