Job Title: Petroleum Inspector

We are seeking a skilled Petroleum Inspector to join our team at Intertek. As a Petroleum Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of volume measurements, temperature measurements, and sampling of commodity materials contained or conveyed in lines, shore tanks, cars, tank trucks, and barges and ships.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct volume measurements, temperature measurements, and sampling of commodity materials
  • Perform visual inspections on lines, pumps, manifolds, shore tanks, rail cars, tank trucks, barges, and ships
  • Complete custody transfer surveys of commodities transferred to and from rail cars, tank trucks, shore tanks, barges, and ships
  • Maintain work areas, records, and equipment in a clean, organized, and functional condition
  • Understand and adhere to Caleb Brett safety procedures
Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license and reliable driving record
  • Basic grasp of basic mathematics and work in an automated environment
  • Ability to work on an on-call basis
  • Cannot have a fear of heights
  • Model Intertek's 10X Energies at all times within the workplace, practicing business the right way
Preferred Requirements:
  • High school diploma, or equivalent preferred
  • Industry Certifications are a PLUS
