Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement CNC programs to manufacture components according to technical specifications.
  • Choose appropriate cutting tools that align with the material characteristics and production requirements.
  • Conduct simulations of CNC programs to verify the safety and accuracy of cutting paths before execution.
  • Prepare essential documentation including Machine Setup Sheets, Tool Set Sheets, and inspection instructions.
  • Identify and resolve programming issues encountered during production.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing product quality, increasing efficiency, and minimizing cycle times.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in machining, including setup and operation of CNC machines.
  • At least 6 years of proficiency in G-code programming using various software platforms, with a focus on industry-standard tools.
  • Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, along with experience in CAD software.
  • Experience in executing G-code simulations effectively.
Preferred Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related STEM field.
  • Certification in Siemens NX or similar software.
  • Machinist or Tool Maker certification.
  • Advanced skills in G-code simulation setup and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with machining materials such as composites, wood, or polymers.
  • Familiarity with CMS Poseidon equipment or industrial 5-axis routers.
  • Ability to write comprehensive process documentation.
  • Experience in designing machining fixtures.
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree is required.
