DispatchHealth Management is seeking a skilled Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our team in providing high-quality, patient-centered care in the comfort of patients' homes.

Your expertise will enable us to provide right-sized healthcare through mobile and virtual services, extending the capabilities of the patient's care team and ensuring personalized quality care in the home or at the patient's location of need.

About the Role

This role involves working as part of a clinical care team with a DispatchHealth Medical Technician (DHMT), providing comprehensive health assessments and diagnosing complex illnesses. You will also perform therapeutic interventions, such as splinting, suturing, wound care, and minor procedures. We rely on your critical thinking skills to follow evidence-based standards of practice and accurately document patient encounters.

You will work closely with patients and families to educate them on managing their acute illness and overall health and well-being. Additionally, you will effectively navigate difficult conversations related to end-of-life issues and goals of care. Effective communication with patients, family members, primary care providers, and other individuals involved in patient care is essential for this position.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive health assessments and diagnose complex illnesses
  • Perform therapeutic interventions, including splinting, suturing, wound care, and minor procedures
  • Use critical thinking skills to follow evidence-based standards of practice
  • Accurately document patient encounters and maintain accurate records
  • Educate patients and families on managing acute illnesses and overall health and well-being
  • Navigate difficult conversations related to end-of-life issues and goals of care
  • Communicate effectively with patients, family members, primary care providers, and other individuals involved in patient care
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have a minimum of two years of experience as an APP in Emergency Department, Urgent Care, Internal Medicine, Hospital, Family Practice, Cardiac, Pulmonary, or other relevant areas. You must also possess a graduate degree from an accredited institution, a current unrestricted state license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, and national board certification. A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is also required.
