About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Labor and Delivery Nurse RN to join our team at Providence St. Joseph Hospital of Orange in Orange, CA. As a Labor and Delivery Nurse RN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to laboring women and their newborns, including administering medications, performing vital signs, and monitoring fetal heart rates.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients and their newborns, identifying potential complications and taking appropriate action to prevent or manage them.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and advancements in labor and delivery nursing.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
  • Current California Registered Nurse License.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association certification.
  • National Provider NRP - American Academy of Pediatrics certification.
  • At least one year of nursing experience, preferably in labor and delivery.
