Comtech Industries, Inc. is seeking an experienced PLC/HMI Systems Developer to join its team in Canonsburg, PA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining control systems for company projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Program Control Logic and HMI Screens: Develop and implement control logic and HMI screens for various industrial applications.
- On-Site Start-Up and Troubleshooting: Assist with on-site start-up and troubleshooting of control systems as needed.
- Programming Standards and Library Functions: Assist the project manager in developing programming standards and library functions.
- Project Coordination: Proactively coordinate with project managers, engineers, field technicians, and clients to ensure successful project outcomes.
- System Integration: Integrate control systems with pumps, blowers, and mechanical equipment.
- 3+ Years of PLC/HMI Programming Experience: Proven experience in PLC/HMI programming with deployment experience.
- Electrical Knowledge: Ability to read electrical prints, schematics, and drawings.
- Troubleshooting Skills: Ability to troubleshoot electrical circuits, both control and power distribution.
- PLC Software Development: Ability to write, understand, and troubleshoot PLC software.
- HMI Design and Packages: Experience with HMI design and packages.
- Technical and Analytical Skills: Strong technical and analytical proficiency with the ability to multi-task effectively in a team environment.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to adapt well to change and utilize strong problem-solving skills.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with water/waste water applications is preferred.
- Software Proficiency: Experience with AutoCAD and SCADA software is a plus.
- PLC Programming Experience: PLC programming experience with Siemens is a plus.
- Calibration and Testing: Calibration and testing of transmitters, switches, converters, recorders, indicators, actuated valves, and control loops back to PLC or DCS systems.
- Database Solutions: Database solutions.
- OIT Application Development: OIT application development and deployment.
- Oil and Gas Experience: Oil and gas experience is highly desirable.
- Industrial Communications: Wired and wireless industrial communications solutions.
- Electrical Design and Engineering: Understanding of electrical design and engineering.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Driver's License: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
