About the Role

As a Biologics Assistant - Blood Manufacturing Specialist at OneBlood, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient manufacturing of blood products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manufacture, store, and distribute blood and blood products to meet hospital demands.
  • Perform data entry tasks associated with component production, labeling, storage, and shipping, maintaining accurate and complete manufacturing records.
  • Operate, maintain, and perform quality control checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Verify the suitability and accuracy of product labels for release and distribution.
  • Manage the quarantine and disposition of unacceptable products and samples.
  • Maintain adequate inventory levels of required supplies.
  • Prepare and submit quality control samples for testing.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • A High School diploma or equivalent is required. Prior experience in laboratory, blood bank manufacturing, or logistics is preferred.
  • Ability to organize work for timely completion and follow complex oral and written instructions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish effective working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Basic computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and ability to operate office equipment.

Work Environment:

This role requires occasional exposure to inclement weather, atmospheric elements, and pathogenic substances. The noise level is moderate, and the employee may be exposed to freezers at below-freezing temperatures (-30F/-35C).

Compensation and Benefits:

We offer an estimated $40,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on location and experience. A comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401(k) matching and paid time off, is also available.
