Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare sterile operating rooms for surgeries, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for patients and medical staff.
  • Sterilize equipment and instruments, maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and infection control.
  • Stock adequate supplies for surgery, ensuring that all necessary materials are readily available.
  • Prepare patients for surgery by washing and disinfecting incision sites, promoting a smooth and stress-free experience.
  • Provide support during surgery by passing instruments and other supplies, working closely with surgeons, surgical assistants, nurses, and the general surgical team.
  • Track surgical supplies, ensuring that inventory levels are maintained and that all necessary materials are available.
  • Stay up-to-date on surgical technology, medical terminology, and procedures, enhancing your skills and knowledge in this field.
