Rehabilitation Unit Nurse Manager Position

Job Title: Rehabilitation Unit Nurse Manager
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Rehabilitation Unit Nurse Manager. As a leader in our Inpatient Rehab unit, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, efficient care to our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Supervision: Oversees and directly supervises all department areas and Charge Nurses, including interviewing, coaching, counseling, orientation, training, and evaluation within established guidelines.
- Staff Development: Serves as a nursing role model and resource to staff, demonstrating support of the nursing practice model, standards of nursing practice, and clinical outcomes.
- Patient Safety and Satisfaction: Takes part in unit growth and development by sharing in decision-making, exemplifying patient-centered customer service, conducting daily surveillance rounds, and identifying needs of staff to meet unit demands and promote growth of individual unit.
- Collaboration and Communication: Interfaces with Acute Care hospital units to evaluate needs and promote appropriate transition of patients to the Rehab unit, works with facilities in the community to facilitate the development of appropriate referrals to the Rehab unit.
- Accreditation and Quality Improvement: Assumes a leadership role in achieving and maintaining all appropriate accreditations for the Rehab unit, monitors day-to-day operations of assigned department staff, reacting effectively and efficiently to unplanned circumstances, demands, and challenges facing the department to ensure consistent quality of service.
- Reporting and Documentation: Coordinates the departmental staff performance and improvement process, including preparation, analysis, and submission of required reports.
Qualifications:
- Credentials: Current RN license within the State of practice, current BLS, ACLS and CCRN certification PREFERRED
- Education: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing, Associates Degree required - BSN Preferred
- Experience: Three to five years of current clinical nursing experience, one of which shall be in providing rehabilitative nursing care, 1 year supervisory experience preferred
Estimated Salary Range: $95,000 - $110,000 per year
