Store Operations Manager

Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Store Operations Manager to join our team at Ben & Jerry\u0027s - Riverwalk. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest level of customer service, ensuring the smooth operation of our store, and driving sales growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the "Peace, love and ice cream" culture at all times, including greeting customers, offering samples, and demonstrating store pride.
- Follow all applicable food safety rules, including dress code and food storage rules.
- Use of POS system and basic cash handling.
- Available late summer nights and weekends, including some holidays.
- Accountable for driving sales growth and keeping costs down.
Assistant Catering Operations:
This position is responsible for the overall success of the day-to-day operations of the catering business out of the Riverwalk scoop shop. The ideal candidate will have a creative mind, a positive attitude, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and manage the retail operations of our busy New Jersey catering business, including planning, operations, equipment maintenance, marketing, and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure that all systems fully support and comply with all franchise operating systems.
- Provide hands-on training support to catering staff members, focusing on daily operations, customer relations, staff orientation, and cleanliness.
- Prep before and after events, attend events to ensure operational excellence, motivate, and train new staff.
- Establish a motivating work environment that encourages employee involvement and supports job advancement aligned with individual goals.
Requirements:
- Have an infectious smile and a sense of urgency.
- Must love making people happy.
- Must be able to work 6-8 hours on your feet.
- Ability to lift at least 20 lbs.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Has a "can do" attitude and is a people person.
- Must have at least 2 years of retail food experience.
- Must understand small business operations and all its related concepts.
- Honest with integrity.
- Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must understand technology and be great with social media and paperwork.
