Are you a skilled mechanic looking for a challenging role in fleet vehicle maintenance and repair? We are seeking a highly experienced Fleet Mechanic to join our team at Rio Grande Co. in the Denver Rocky Mountain region.

The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.

Rio Grande Co. has been a leading distributor, producer, and fabricator of building materials in the area for over 130 years. As a Fleet Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing all levels of preventative maintenance and repairs on company vehicles and equipment. You will diagnose all vehicle systems using the latest software and equipment, perform repairs as assigned, and document all work performed on work orders.

You will also assist drivers with minor repairs and supply needs, perform required inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment within planned time tolerances, and follow procedures including documenting all work performed on work orders.

To be successful in this role, you will need at least one full year of experience and the ability to obtain an Annual Inspector Certification. A Brake Inspector Certification and HVAC Certification are also preferred.

This is a physically demanding role that requires frequent lifting and moving up to 100 lbs, standing for long periods, and operating various pieces of equipment such as loaders and forklifts.
