We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pharmacist to join our Inpatient Pharmacy team in an Evening Shift role. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for verifying inpatient prescriber orders, dispensing medications, and providing clinical patient review for safety and accuracy.
Responsibilities- Verify inpatient prescriber orders and dispense medications in a timely and accurate manner.
- Provide clinical patient review for safety and accuracy, including reviewing patient information and pertinent past medical history.
- Communicate with prescribing practitioners regarding concerns and provide information on medication administration, dosing, and selection.
- Document direct patient care, clinical, operational, and financial outcomes, and activities in the medical record.
- Provide in-service training to medical, nursing, and pharmacy staff, and precept and/or supervise pharmacy residents, students, interns, technicians, or graduates awaiting licensure.
- Participate in codes and Level I traumas, providing necessary pharmaceutical care.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college of pharmacy, required.
- Doctor of Pharmacy, preferred.
- Registered Pharmacist - Ohio Board of Pharmacy or must be eligible for the Ohio Registered Pharmacy examination with successful completion of requirements and license obtained within 45 days of the hire date.
- Hospital experience or internship, desirable.
