Job Summary:

The Sanitation Technician Level 1 - Operations Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of food contact equipment and surroundings in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role requires a strong understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and the ability to work independently as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and sanitize food contact equipment and surroundings in accordance with GMPs and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs)
  • Conduct chemical concentration tests on cleaning and sanitizing solutions
  • Perform general maintenance on sanitation equipment
  • Disassemble equipment for cleaning and reassemble clean parts
  • Complete sanitation paperwork, including the Master Cleaning Schedule (MCS) and Chemical Usage Monitoring Forms
  • Complete ATP and allergen swabbing and record results properly
  • Attend all chemical safety training
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, bend, and lift up to 55 pounds as needed
  • Ability to read, comprehend work instructions, and complete all required and necessary paperwork
  • Ability to work in a seasonally hot and fast-paced environment while wearing all required company-issued personal protective equipment (PPE)

Working Conditions:

The Sanitation Technician Level 1 - Operations Specialist will work in a manufacturing environment with moderate levels of machine noise. The role requires the ability to work at shoulder level or overhead occasionally and to safely operate all sanitation equipment.
