Job Summary

Tulane University School of Medicine is seeking a Clinician-Educator faculty member to join the Section of Nephrology & Hypertension and the Tulane Transplant Institute. This position will have responsibilities in Transplant Nephrology and General Nephrology, with opportunities for administrative and educational leadership.

Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical care to patients with acute and chronic kidney disease, including provision of dialysis services and fluid and electrolyte management.
  • Participate in the teaching and clinical programs of residents, fellows, and medical students.
  • Oversee transplant waiting list management and maintain compliance of the transplant program.
  • Care for patients with chronic kidney disease, glomerulonephritis, hypertension, and ESRD.
Qualifications
  • Medical degree required.
  • Board certification or eligibility in general Nephrology is required.
  • Candidates should have satisfactorily completed a training program in general nephrology accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) and transplant nephrology accredited by American Society of Transplantation (AST).
  • Eligible for medical license in the state of Louisiana as well as CDS and DEA required.
  • Prior experience in teaching residents/fellows/students.
  • J1 Waiver eligible to apply.
