About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Engineering Drafter to join our team at Freshpet. As a key member of our technical team, you will be responsible for maintaining a library of accurate and organized technical documents, accelerating the design and implementation of capital projects, and increasing design accuracy and reducing project mistakes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a library of accurate and organized technical documents
  • Evaluate, verify, and reorganize existing archived electronic documents for each facility
  • Work closely with project managers, project coordinators, maintenance, facility managers, and engineering management
  • Responsible for gathering information to accurately draft new or update existing 2D AutoCAD and REVIT drawings for any buildings or manufacturing processes
  • Responsible for working with contractors and design/builders during project development, detailed design, and construction to coordinate the understanding/implementation of REVIT and AutoCAD standards
  • Maintain a strong and professional working relationship with all teammates, contractors, facility, maintenance, and vendors
Requirements
  • Associate degree or completion of trade school or equivalent formal training
  • 5+ years of working experience with at least three years of architecture, manufacturing, or construction-related experience
  • High proficiency in AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM 360, and electronic file transfer systems (Teams, SharePoint, Dropbox, etc.) and project collaboration software (Procore, PlanGrid, etc.)
  • Proficient in REVU BlueBeam, Outlook, Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
  • Familiarity with building codes, construction details, standard architectural elements (wall partitions, door types, etc.) a plus
