Position Overview

Ascension Sacred Heart is seeking a qualified Pediatric Otolaryngologist (ENT) to enhance our dedicated Pediatric Otolaryngology Department at The Studer Family Children's Hospital.


Practice Details:

  • Specialty: Pediatric Otolaryngology ENT
  • Work Schedule: Full-time clinic (Monday to Friday, closed on weekends and holidays) with shared on-call responsibilities as arranged with colleagues.
  • Facility: Established Pediatric ENT practice.
  • Electronic Medical Records: Utilizes Cerner/Athena.
  • Healthcare Institution: Ascension Studer Family Children's Hospital.
  • Location: Pensacola, FL.
  • Visa Status: Not eligible for sponsorship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations and provide treatment to patients utilizing appropriate medical diagnostic and therapeutic skills.
  • Engage in initiatives aimed at enhancing cost-effectiveness and quality of care.
  • Accept referrals from other healthcare providers and serve as the admitting, attending, or consulting physician for hospitalized patients as necessary.
  • Participate in academic programs, including medical education and research, as required.
  • Ensure documentation meets insurance requirements and manage appeals for any denials promptly.
  • Participate in both inpatient and outpatient consultations, which may include on-call duties.

Qualifications:

  • Licensure: Must hold a valid MD/DO license from the Florida Board of Medicine prior to the start date. Board certification or eligibility in the relevant medical specialty is required.
  • Certifications: Advanced Life Support certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) is preferred.

Educational Requirements:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathy (DO), Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS), Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD), Doctor of Optometry (OD), or Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) is required.
