Position Title: Home Care Aide

Compensation: $20.30 per hour

Role Summary:

We are looking for a full-time Home Care Aide to join our Home Care Program. This role involves providing non-medical support to clients in King County, requiring travel to their residences. The Home Care Aide will adhere strictly to the established care plans tailored to each client.

Core Duties:

The Home Care Aide will provide essential household management and personal care assistance, which may include:

  • Household Management: Cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, shopping, and escorting clients to appointments.
  • Personal Care: Assisting with dressing, bathing, toileting, transfers, ambulation, and medication reminders.

Client Environment:

Maintaining a safe and healthy living environment is crucial for our clients. All tasks are designed to support clients in remaining in their homes and communities, thereby delaying the need for institutional care.

Qualifications:

Successful candidates will have at least one year of experience in household management or caring for individuals with special needs. Candidates must demonstrate empathy, maturity, and the ability to manage the demands of the role. A background check is required.

Additional Requirements:

  • Completion of training and certification as mandated by the Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS).
  • Effective communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus.
  • Ability to use basic computer applications and perform mathematical calculations.
