Industrial Electrician Job Description

At Interfuse Staffing, we are seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to join our team. As an Industrial Electrician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical equipment and systems in a lumber manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect, install, troubleshoot, repair, and service electrical equipment, including motors, generators, pumps, and illumination systems.
  • Perform work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical theory and principles, statutory codes, and properties of materials.
  • Run conduit and wire/rewire systems, and provide PLC programming support.
  • Read blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to assemble equipment and follow work procedures.
  • Diagnose and repair issues with motors, controllers, PLCs, and other electrical and electronic systems.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience as an Electrician in an Industrial setting.
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical equipment, hydraulic equipment, control circuits, motors, and other electrical and electronic systems.
  • Knowledge and experience with logic control systems, Programmable Logic Controllers, and adjustable frequency AC drives.
  • Variable speed drive experience, preferably with Control Techniques.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, commitment to working safely and efficiently, and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision, and previous experience in a Saw Mill or heavy industry is preferred.
What We Offer:

$25-$35 per hour, depending on experience. Pay range open if candidate comes from another mill or has PLC experience.
