Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret client drawings and calculate costs to ensure accurate estimates
  • Analyze drawings for cost and labor estimates, taking into account material requirements and machining schedules
  • Coordinate bid opportunities with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and competitive proposals
  • Collaborate with engineers and vendors to ensure seamless project execution
  • Manage materials and machining schedules to optimize production efficiency

Requirements:

  • Proven mechanical skills and experience in a similar role
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in estimating or a related field
  • Proficient in reading mechanical drawings and interpreting technical specifications
  • High standard of quality and efficiency in all aspects of work
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams and clients
  • Shop mathematics knowledge and ability to apply mathematical concepts to real-world problems
  • Team player with strong multitasking abilities and adaptability
  • Basic PC knowledge and proficiency in relevant software applications
  • Physical capacity for lifting and moving objects, with a focus on safety and ergonomics
  • US Citizen with a valid driver's license
  • High school diploma required, with a focus on technical education and training
