Job Title: Positive Behavior Technician

Join Fargo Public Schools as a Positive Behavior Technician and contribute to creating a supportive learning environment for students. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with Board-Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and the Multi-Tier System of Supports (MTSS) team to implement behavior support plans using evidence-based methods.

Responsibilities:
  • Implement behavior support plans with fidelity, collecting data to inform student programming and progress monitoring.
  • Collaborate with the PBI, MTSS team, and BCBA to develop and adjust student behavior support plans.
  • Provide general student supervision and contribute to the implementation of special projects as assigned.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 40 hours of applied behavior analysis training prior to hire or within four months from hire date.
  • One year of experience working with complex behaviors in human services, education, or a similar field.
  • Strong content knowledge in core academic areas (literacy and math).
  • Ability to maintain composure under stressful conditions.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in education, child development, psychology, or a related field.
  • Experience managing intense behaviors.
  • Experience working in a school setting.
  • Knowledge of Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) or Response to Intervention (RtI).
