Job Summary

Clinica Romero is seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to fill the position of Community Organizer and Outreach Manager. This role will be responsible for coordinating community outreach strategies and plans, identifying and recruiting community health workers, and implementing outreach and education strategies that benefit patients and the community at large.

Key Responsibilities
  • Community Outreach and Engagement
    • Develop and implement community outreach plans to promote Clinica Romero's services and programs.
    • Establish and maintain relationships with community organizations, residents, and stakeholders.
    • Organize and conduct community meetings, forums, and other events to promote health and wellness.
  • Community Health Worker Program Management
    • Manage the Community Health Worker (CHW) program, including planning, policy enforcement, supervision, and evaluation.
    • Identify, recruit, and retain CHWs.
  • Outreach and Education
    • Develop and implement outreach and education strategies to promote health and wellness among patients and the community.
    • Collaborate with other Clinica Romero departments to provide primary care services to newly arrived immigrant families and their children.
  • Advocacy and Partnerships
    • Participate in advocacy activities to promote community needs and priorities.
    • Develop and maintain partnerships with community agencies and organizations.
  • Reporting and Administration
    • Prepare and submit reports on program activities and outcomes.
    • Manage grant deliverables and meet reporting deadlines.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in Social Services, Public Health, or related field.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in program administration and staff supervision.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish.
    • Strong computer skills and ability to navigate web-based systems.
    • Valid California driver's license and be insurable for car insurance.
    • CPR certification.
