Position Overview:
The Maintenance Planner is tasked with maintaining the Preventive Maintenance Program. This role involves processing all plant purchases related to maintenance and verifying the accuracy of incoming shipments. Additionally, inventory management of plant-acquired items is a key responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and schedule preventive maintenance work orders within the system.
- Monitor and track work orders.
- Distribute work orders to the relevant maintenance departments.
- Document and monitor unscheduled maintenance and downtime, preparing necessary reports.
- Engage in discussions regarding adjustments to maintenance schedules.
- Track inventory usage related to maintenance and office operations, ensuring adequate stock levels.
- Manage plant-specific purchases from requisition to receipt.
- Verify the receipt of goods against shipping notices.
- Assess the quantity and quality of received goods for compliance with purchase orders.
- Execute Corrective Action Preventive Actions (CAPAs) as required.
- Facilitate communication regarding returns, rejections, and credits with vendors.
- Input receipts and stock items into the system.
- Conduct weekly physical inventory counts of maintenance supplies, reconciling discrepancies.
- Perform monthly inventory reconciliations for accounting purposes.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Two-year technical degree or relevant experience preferred.
- Experience in preventive maintenance programs, inventory management, and procurement of maintenance supplies.
- Strong ethical standards and integrity.
- Proficient in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office, with strong data entry skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, along with exceptional organizational skills.
- Respirator Fit Test required upon hire; facial hair must not interfere with the respirator seal during testing.
Work Environment:
This role is performed in a production setting, requiring the ability to lift, pull, push, and carry up to 55 lbs regularly. Candidates must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, and climb heights of up to 70 feet. Manual dexterity is necessary for operating hand controls and/or computer keyboards, along with good vision and hearing.
