This role involves preparing and managing the bar setup, which includes arranging glassware, kegs, liquor bottles, mixers, and other essential items. Our bartenders play a crucial role in serving alcoholic beverages to guests while adhering to the regulations of the state of Indiana.

The position requires vigilance in monitoring guest consumption and ensuring responsible service. As a physical role, candidates should be prepared to lift and move heavy items such as glass racks and kegs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome guests and address their inquiries in a friendly and efficient manner.
  • Prepare and garnish drinks according to established recipes and portion control standards.
  • Serve beverages to guests in a professional manner.
  • Verify guest identification to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws regarding alcohol service.
  • Maintain and stock the bar with necessary supplies, including beer, wine, spirits, and other essentials.
  • Handle beverage-related perishables with care to ensure quality.
  • Respond appropriately to guests who may be inebriated.
  • Uphold a professional appearance at all times.
  • Collaborate with banquet staff to enhance guest satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 21 years old to serve alcohol and possess (or be able to obtain) a bartender's license.
  • Preferred experience of at least one year in bartending.
  • Availability to work during holidays and weekends is essential, as many events occur during these times.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods, bend, kneel, and lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
