Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced SLP to provide patient care services, including direct treatment and follow-up, to patients with speech, language, swallow, or cognitive disorders. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology, a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech and Hearing Association, and current licensure from the state in which employed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide patient care services, including direct treatment and follow-up, to patients with speech, language, swallow, or cognitive disorders.
  • Evaluate and treat patients with a physician's order, developing a plan of care appropriate to the patient's diagnosis.
  • Document patient care data accurately, thoroughly, and in a timely manner, reflecting evidence of improvement/progress/decline in patient's condition.
  • Communicate effectively with intercompany and intracompany contacts, establishing/maintaining open lines of communication among branch administrative and management staff, and other clinical staff.
  • Attend patient care conferences, meetings, and mandatory in-services as scheduled, providing weekly statistical data.
  • Provide in-service education, healthcare professional education, and public education, as well as supervising peers and supporting personnel and students in training as needed.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology and Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech and Hearing Association, as well as current licensure from the state in which employed.
  • Strong knowledge of theory and concepts relating to the practice of Speech Language Pathology and the ability to evaluate and treat patients for whom a physician's order exists.
  • Strong communication (oral and written) and organizational skills, with CPR certification.
  • Minimum of twelve hours of continuing education annually.
  • Ability to accept travel and working conditions as assigned.
  • One year of therapist experience in any setting.
