Job Overview

The Engineering Project Manager will oversee the complete lifecycle of engineering initiatives, ensuring that projects are executed efficiently and effectively. The manager will be responsible for delivering projects on schedule, within budget, and to the satisfaction of all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the comprehensive engineering project lifecycle, from the initial planning stages to the final construction phase.
  • Engage in discussions with engineers, planners, financial managers, architects, and other relevant personnel to define and uphold project deliverables.
  • Coordinate project resources and monitor progress against established timelines and schedules.
  • Facilitate the selection, negotiation, and management of vendors, contractors, or subcontractors.
  • Direct resource management and scheduling tasks to support assigned projects.
  • Monitor project progress against milestones, budgetary constraints, and other performance metrics, preparing and presenting reports as necessary.
  • Possess a solid understanding of industry policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of land development construction, including materials and detailing.
  • Conduct project research and analysis.
  • Exhibit strong analytical engineering skills.
  • Maintain excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities.
  • Be self-motivated and capable of multitasking, critical thinking, and attention to detail.
  • Thrive in a collaborative team environment.
  • Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Project, and MS Office proficiently; ArcGIS skills are a plus.
  • Implement an integrated services approach effectively.
  • Have a comprehensive understanding of design, details, and construction drawing preparation, including site layout, grading, erosion control, and stormwater management.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field.
  • 8+ years of progressive engineering experience on complex projects.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Project Engineer or Project Manager in the construction of new facilities; experience with greenfield chemical plants is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and planning capabilities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
