As our new Environmental Sustainability Manager, you will play a critical role in developing, implementing, and monitoring environmental and safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will safeguard and ensure NYPA meets its regulatory obligations and requirements as it pertains to cultural resources issues, including archeology, historic architecture, historic preservation, and construction practices. This involves ensuring the Authority remains in compliance and good standing with National, State, Local Historic Preservation Groups and Native American Nations.
Duties and Responsibilities- Conduct research and surveys related to archeology, historic architecture, historic preservation, and construction practices.
- Assist in developing and implementing compliance requirements for cultural resources in projects.
- Contribute to the assessment of potential impacts on cultural resources and participate in the development of comprehensive mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to ensure effective integration of cultural resources considerations into project plans and activities.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Intermediate knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Knowledge with cultural resources compliance requirements, historic preservation laws, and environmental impact assessment.
- Ability to actively contribute to consensus-building in an operating and/or construction environment.
We offer a competitive salary range of $99,350.00 - $136,600.00 per year, based on relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
