Maintenance Technician

At RPM Living, we're seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you'll be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our properties, ensuring a safe and comfortable living environment for our residents.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including repairs, replacements, and preventative maintenance to ensure the integrity of our properties.
- Conduct thorough inspections of common areas, including grounds, buildings, and equipment, to identify and address any issues or concerns.
- Operate various maintenance equipment, including power washers, trimmers, blowers, and floor scrubbers, to maintain the appearance and functionality of our properties.
- Assist in the preparation of make-ready units, including removing trash and debris, and ensuring that units are clean and ready for occupancy.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests and perform repairs as needed to ensure the safety and comfort of our residents.
- Collaborate with other maintenance team members to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- At least 1 year of experience in maintenance or a related field.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- General knowledge of skilled trades, including construction, installation, repair, and maintenance.
- Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to walk, stand, climb stairs or ladders, and access various areas of the property.
- May be required to push or pull items and reach overhead.
- May be required to bend, stoop, or kneel.
- May require dexterity of hands and fingers and ability to grasp tools.
- Ability to see to identify plants, weeds, and pests and read computer screens.
- Ability to hear and understand verbal communications in person and over the phone or computer.
- Ability to hear to detect sounds indicating potential issues, such as machinery noises or alarms.
- May occasionally be required to lift or carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- This role is based on-site and requires that the employee spend time outside with exposure to the elements.
- May require working in confined spaces, heights, and potentially hazardous areas.
