We are seeking a skilled Welder Specialist to join our team in a fabrication shop environment. In this role, you will work on welding stainless steel filters, requiring high-quality welds on porous material using low amps. You will also use a micro air sander to prep and clean the seams of parts prior to welding. Secondary duties include using shears, grinders, break press, punch press, or other fabrication equipment. You will be responsible for reading and comprehending engineering drawings and process specifications, and for safely and accurately operating welding and metal forming equipment to produce parts according to drawing and specification requirements. Additionally, you will meet targets for safety, quality, on-time delivery, productivity, and cost, and ensure work areas are neat and organized.
Key Responsibilities- TIG welding
- Fabrication
- Machining (lathe, drill press, etc.)
- Use of metal fabrication equipment (spot welders, shears, roll formers, hand tools)
- Attention to detail
- Ability to read and comprehend engineering drawings
- Organizational skills
- Safety awareness
This is a fully on-site position in a climate-controlled, clean fabrication shop. Two shifts are available: 7am-4pm Mon-Fri, 3:30pm-2:00am Mon-Thu. You will be one of two people in the shop during the night shift.
