Ultrasound Technician - Maternal Fetal Medicine
Pediatrix Medical Group is in search of a dedicated Ultrasound Technician to enhance our maternal fetal medicine team. In this role, you will be tasked with guiding patients to examination areas, clarifying procedures, gathering data for medical interpretation, maintaining patient documentation, and supporting physicians during various medical interventions. Additionally, you will be responsible for the upkeep of ultrasound machinery, adhering to safety regulations, and engaging in ongoing professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guide patients to examination areas
- Clarify procedures to patients and their families
- Gather data for physician interpretation
- Maintain patient documentation and records
- Assist in medical procedures such as amniocentesis
- Code services rendered
- Oversee the maintenance of ultrasound machinery
- Identify and resolve equipment issues
Qualifications:
- At least six months of experience in an OB/GYN environment
- Graduate from an accredited sonography program
- CPR certification is mandatory
- ARDMS OB/GYN certification or eligibility required
