Job Summary:

The Maintenance Mechanic will perform a wide range of skilled maintenance activities, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems, and carpentry. You will work independently and as part of a team to complete assigned work orders and projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems
  • Install, maintain, and repair plumbing and electrical systems
  • Work with blueprints and schematics to determine efficient installation of new or upgraded systems
  • Perform skilled trade functions, such as plumbing, painting, and carpentry
  • Maintain and operate power tools and equipment
  • Install and repair refrigeration systems
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • High school graduate or recognized equivalent
  • Formal trade/vocational school training or five years of related experience
  • Completion of apprenticeship program preferred
  • Minimum of five years' experience as a millwright, steamfitter, plumber, HVAC, or tradesman in a commercial, industrial, or healthcare setting
  • Working knowledge of computer skills and Microsoft Outlook, Building Management Systems, and modern Nurse Call systems
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and prepare material takeoffs
Work Environment:

The Maintenance Mechanic will work in an industrial setting with occasional clinical exposure. You will be required to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
