We are seeking a highly skilled Inventory Control Specialist to join our team at Thompson Pipe Group. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory transactions and on-hand values in our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate inventory values through weekly cycle counts and analysis of system reports.
- Determine remediation plans for inventory/material variances and shortages.
- Track inventory levels, changes, issues, and reporting processes.
- Develop protocols to mitigate inventory loss.
- Create policies to ensure efficient inventory control procedures.
- Communicate effectively with department managers and personnel.
- Generate inventory reports and conduct spot and partial audits.
- Assist with periodic physical inventory audits and reviews of paperwork for inventory adjustments.
- High School or GED required; Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, or similar preferred.
- 3 years of experience in managing and tracking inventory in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient computer skills and knowledge of relevant software such as MS Office Suite and warehouse management systems.
- Demonstrated ability to work well in a matrix team environment.
- Self-starter with ability to complete routine tasks without supervisory intervention.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in an efficient and timely manner.
- Occasional standing, walking, sitting, and use of hands to handle objects, tools, or controls.
- Ability to climb stairs and talk or hear.
