Shelby Medical Center is seeking a skilled Geriatric Psychiatric Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, working closely with our interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Assess, plan, and implement direct clinical care to assigned patients on a per-shift basis.
- Supervise staff to ensure appropriate care is delegated and delivered.
- Support the Chief Nursing Officer in ensuring high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and effective resource management.
- Active and current registered nurse license in the state of residence/practice.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to serve as a role model and advocate for the professional discipline of nursing.
- Graduated from a state-approved school of nursing or an accredited school.
- Preferred: Academic degree in nursing (Bachelor's or Master's degree).
- Must be currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice the profession as required by law, regulation, or policy. CPR certification is also required.
