Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team at Turner Construction. As an Electrical Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing detailed estimates for electrical systems, including quantity take-offs, analysis, and studies. You will also communicate with project teams, vendors, and trade partners to ensure accurate pricing and scope of work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed estimates for electrical systems, including quantity take-offs, analysis, and studies
  • Communicate with project teams, vendors, and trade partners to ensure accurate pricing and scope of work
  • Analyze existing site conditions and contract documents to identify potential issues
  • Develop working relationships with local material suppliers and equipment vendors to solicit accurate pricing
  • Perform constructability analysis of project documents and communicate design and constructability issues to project teams
  • Work with Operations staff and fellow estimators to properly address General Conditions and General Requirements (GC/GR) items in estimates
  • Coordinate equipment pricing with Turner Logistics and develop value analysis to define more cost-efficient alternatives
  • Serve as liaison with Engineers, Design consultants, trade partners, Turner staff, and owner's representatives to resolve cost-efficient issues related to project preconstruction efforts
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited degree program in Engineering or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years related estimating experience or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, technology, and low voltage systems
  • Ability to use critical thinking skills for understanding and interpreting contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedule
  • Ability to collaborate with vendors and trade partners and project team members
  • Proficient computer skills and Microsoft Office suite of applications
Work Environment

The employee frequently views a computer monitor and frequently uses a computer keyboard. The employee is regularly required to be mobile and occasionally travels both short and long distances via a variety of conveyances. The employee occasionally performs work on-site at construction work sites, office locations, and/or off-site venues.
