Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our CV Neuro ICU team at HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood. As a key member of our healthcare family, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to our hospital's mission of delivering high-quality, compassionate care to our community.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and prioritize age and specialty appropriate care of each patient assigned by communicating relevant information to appropriate healthcare professionals
  • Competently and accurately complete age appropriate comprehensive physical and psychosocial assessment of patients; takes nursing history assessment to identify nursing diagnosis/patient care needs
  • Evaluate the patient/family response to, and outcome(s) of, implemented care and modifies the plan of care accordingly
  • Implement and direct care, using the nursing process with emphasis on the needs of individual CV Neuro ICU patients
  • Promote, initiate or coordinate interdisciplinary care provision in an open communication system with patients, nursing personnel, physicians, clergy, and with all other persons who influence patient progress
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing is required
  • Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date)
  • 1 year of RN ICU experience in an acute care setting preferred
  • BLS & ACLS Certifications (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)

We have an advanced Brain & Spine Center, which includes a DNV Comprehensive Stroke Center and the Sleep Center of Excellence. Our Orthopedic Center offers total joint replacement surgery using advanced technology. Other services include innovative and customized cardiovascular services, including open heart and vascular surgery and state-of-the-art imaging and endoscopy services for more accurate diagnosis and treatment plans. We are also a Certified Level I Stroke Center and an Accredited Chest Pain Center.
