Job Summary

The Solar Power Maintenance Specialist will be responsible for operating and maintaining our solar power generation facilities. This includes performing routine mechanical and electrical maintenance, troubleshooting complex problems, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance on solar site equipment, including mechanical and electrical systems
  • Troubleshoot complex problems with solar site equipment, including inverters, trackers, and substation equipment
  • Conduct site inspections to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety protocols
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operation of our solar power generation facilities
  • Develop and implement maintenance plans to ensure optimal performance and extend equipment lifespan

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification preferred
  • 1+ year of experience in a related field, such as electrical or mechanical maintenance
  • Ability to work at heights and in inclement weather
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to lift up to 45 kg (100 pounds)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with PV maintenance, including DC systems, AC medium voltage systems, and network communications and monitoring
  • Experience in an industrial environment dealing with machine repair and maintenance
  • Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) and standard practices
  • Ability to read and understand electrical single-line and three-line diagrams/schematics
