Responsibilities
  • Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards
  • Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
  • Communicate directly with the Service Advisor to inform customers of additional service needs and provide estimates of time required for repairs
  • Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
  • Stay up-to-date on all mechanical certifications and GM training
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of Service Journeyman Technician experience required
  • Certified General Motors Technician
  • ASE Certification required
  • B level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical, and Engine Repair
  • Able to work on transmissions
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Basic Computer skills
  • Positive, friendly attitude and customer service mentality
  • Ability to learn new technology, repair, and service procedures and specifications
