The Primary Care Specialist will play a critical role in helping Evergreen Treatment Services achieve its mission. This full-time, exempt salaried position involves connecting individuals with dispensary and clinic-based services, while coordinating overall patient care during their enrollment at Evergreen Treatment Services.
About the Role:This Medical Provider (ARNP/PA-C) role requires a team player who can work together with other staff to drive positive change in community health and safety through addressing substance use and homelessness. Key responsibilities include evaluating patients, diagnosing opioid use disorder, prescribing medications, ordering tests, and adjusting treatment plans as needed.
Key Responsibilities:- Evaluate patients, diagnose opioid use disorder, prescribe, order, and adjust appropriate opioid use disorder treatment medications.
- Collaborate with colleagues to transform systems of harm and inequity, promoting different approaches to improving community health and safety.
- Serve as the primary medical care coordinator for assigned patients, conducting intake medical assessments and determining initial medication choices.
- Document findings and decision-making about care in electronic health records.
- Active Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner License (ARNP) or Active Physician Assistant Certified License (PA-C) in Washington State.
- Desirable experience in drug abuse treatment, with DATA-waiver for buprenorphine prescription highly valued.
- All Medical Providers must have Schedule II and below prescriptive authority from Washington State.
