Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Laboratory Scientist to join our team at Genomic Testing Cooperative, LLC. As a key member of our research and development team, you will be responsible for performing laboratory tests to support patient care and research efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform molecular techniques related to Next-Generation Sequencing, including library preparation, hybridization, and sequencing.
  • Ensure and maintain the integrity and quality of the laboratory in the areas of sample processing, equipment maintenance, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Participate in experiments designed to validate molecular testing protocols and document performance characteristics of each procedure.
  • Tabulate and graph data and prepare technical reports for superiors.
  • Maintain laboratory records, archives, assay protocols, and sample or specimen repository sufficient to pass regulatory oversight.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a natural science field with 2-3 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • License in the state of CA as a CLS, CGMBS, or CCS.
  • Experience with RNA and or DNA sequencing, extracting, and analysis for daily molecular testing.
  • Experience performing molecular techniques related to Next Generation sequencing.
  • Experience with NGS library preparation, hybridization, and sequencing.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work independently and within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with software, quality systems, and lab automation.
  • Knowledgeable of molecular laboratory processes, techniques, and equipment.
