Position Overview:
APR Consulting, Inc. is seeking a qualified Logistics Tech to support surgical services.

Location:
Corona, CA

Compensation:
$2-28/hr.

Duration:
13 weeks

Shift Details:
Day shift, 5 days a week (08:00 AM - 5:00 PM)

Education Requirements:
High School diploma or GED is required; an undergraduate degree is preferred.

Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years in SPD or GI tech roles.
- At least 2 years in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Operational Supply Chain roles, ideally within a healthcare environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification as a CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician).
- Training in Purchasing, Supply Chain, or Operations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage purchasing activities related to surgical services, ensuring cost-effective procurement of goods and services for the operating room while maintaining quality standards.
- Oversee supplier follow-ups to ensure compliance with pricing and delivery schedules.
- Actively manage inventory within the operating room, analyzing usage and costs to optimize stock levels and reduce inventory expenses.
- Conduct evaluations of departmental inventory, making recommendations for elimination where necessary to minimize costs.
- Participate in cycle counts, receiving, stocking, and maintaining inventory accuracy, including expiration date management and proper labeling.
- Submit requisitions promptly when inventory levels fall below reorder points or when new items are needed.
- Collaborate with medical staff to gather technical specifications and vendor recommendations to meet supply needs.
- Engage with suppliers to gather product information, address supply chain issues, and resolve purchase order concerns.
- Ensure accurate daily inventory transactions are recorded in the procurement system.
- Coordinate with purchasing, receiving, and accounts payable teams to address any discrepancies in pricing or delivery.
- Assist in the identification and procurement of supplies and specialized equipment necessary for patient care.
- Perform data entry and reporting functions within the automated inventory management system.
- Prepare cost analysis reports for departmental management to support cost-saving initiatives.
- Attend relevant meetings and educational programs, communicating important issues to management and staff.
- Transport materials and supplies as needed within the facility.
- Report any deficiencies in procedures or equipment to the supervisor.
- Maintain compliance with all policies and procedures related to sterile processing and inventory management.
