About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Supply Quality Engineer to join our team at CIRCOR Aerospace & Defense. As a key member of our quality team, you will be responsible for driving supplier improvement projects, conducting supplier assessments, and implementing quality system management processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive supplier improvement projects to establish problem/process root cause and definitive corrective action plans.
  • Conduct supplier assessments and implement quality system management processes.
  • Provide leadership on problem-solving teams to drive root cause analysis and reduce supplier non-conformities.
  • Coordinate and make modifications to existing procedures, production processes, and inspection techniques.
  • Perform source inspection and develop product quality plans and inspection methodologies.
  • Collect and analyze quality data to identify and prioritize opportunities for improvement.
  • Review and approve First Article Inspection reports and manage supplier corrective action requests.
  • Manage day-to-day nonconformances and drive containment activities.
  • Interpret customer requirements and specifications, and conduct purchase order reviews.
  • Participate in Material Review Board and Configuration Control Board processes.
  • Develop process flow charts and Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis.
  • Work with suppliers to create statistically valid control plans and use lean and six sigma tools to drive process and product variation reduction.
  • Conduct and participate in internal and external quality system, process, and product verification audits.
  • Support product/process certifications and approvals.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience driving supply chain improvements.
  • Expertise in problem-solving tools, including 5-Whys, Failure mode and effects analysis, and Pareto analysis.
  • Proven business/technical writing, presentation, planning, problem-solving, organizational, project management, and judgement skills.
  • Excellent project management skills that drive transparency, accountability, and results.
  • Experience with raw materials and manufacturing and quality inspection processes, including machining, heat treating, anodizing, painting, and NDT.
  • High ethical standards and ability to model and support organization's goals and values.
  • Working knowledge of major aerospace prime customer requirements and quality management systems/specifications.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and implement statistically valid control plans and audit plans.
  • Working ability of inspection metrology and proper application of automated measuring equipment.
  • Ability to create and/or review failure analysis reports and perform dimensional tolerance stack up analyses.
  • Experience in industrialization processes, including PPAP, PVI (DVI) with FAI per AS9102.
  • Thorough understanding of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, and other application software.
Education

Bachelor of Science degree in a technical field, ASQ or extensive verifiable experience in lieu of degree. Master of Science is a plus.

Pay Range

$87K - $109K base salary. Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
