In this role, you will take charge of the design, development, and upkeep of our advertising serving software, primarily utilizing the Go programming language. Your expertise will be pivotal in advancing our advertising technology, enabling us to effectively deliver targeted and pertinent advertisements to our audience.

Samsung has made significant investments in creating a suite of engaging services across its devices, complementing its leading hardware offerings while capitalizing on its extensive global distribution network. These services, combined with a vast partner ecosystem and proprietary data, present a substantial opportunity for ad-based revenue generation. Six years into this initiative, Samsung Ads has evolved into a thriving and rapidly expanding business. The ongoing success of this enterprise relies heavily on the products, technologies, and tools managed by the Global Ads Product & Engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guide and mentor junior engineers, promoting a culture of learning and collaboration within the team.
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in advertising technology and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of our systems through research and innovation.
  • Engage in code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical decision-making processes.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of eight years of demonstrated experience as a Software Engineer, with a strong emphasis on developing advertising technology or ad-serving platforms with significant impact.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a history of delivering high-quality, scalable software solutions.
  • Extensive knowledge of the Go programming language (Golang) and proficiency in concurrent programming.
  • Proven experience in developing advertising technology or ad serving platforms with substantial impact.
  • Familiarity with advertising technology protocols and standards (e.g., OpenRTB, VAST, VPAID) is advantageous.
  • Experience with distributed systems, microservices architecture, and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of data storage solutions and databases, including SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Ability to diagnose and optimize performance bottlenecks in large-scale systems.
  • Excellent communication skills and the capacity to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Be a part of our dynamic team and play a crucial role in shaping the future of our advertising technology platform. If you possess a passion for developing cutting-edge advertising solutions and have a robust background in Go development, we are eager to hear from you.
