Position Summary: We are currently seeking a dedicated Assembly Operations Leader to oversee our assembly department. This role is essential in ensuring that our production metrics are met while fostering a culture of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety Management: Champion safety protocols within the department, proactively identifying and mitigating risks.

  • Timely Delivery: Ensure that production schedules are adhered to, facilitating timely order fulfillment.

  • Team Leadership: Engage and inspire team members through effective communication, support, and clear goal-setting.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with planning and sourcing teams to address material and tooling challenges.
  • Standardization: Develop and enforce standard operating procedures to optimize productivity.
  • Maintenance Coordination: Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure optimal machine performance.
  • Cross-Departmental Communication: Liaise with other supervisors to ensure smooth transitions and operations.
  • Operational Oversight: Directly supervise assembly processes to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Continuous Improvement: Propose and implement strategies to refine production methods and enhance quality controls.
  • Policy Adherence: Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years in a leadership role within a manufacturing setting.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Experience with CNC machining and programming is advantageous.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with ERP systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Analytical skills for data evaluation and decision-making.
  • Knowledge of assembly processes, tooling, and inspection methods.
  • Willingness to work overtime as required.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Experience with continuous improvement and LEAN methodologies.
  • Understanding of ISO standards and documentation processes.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Familiarity with Gibbs-Cam software.
