Job Summary

Traffic Plan is seeking a highly skilled Traffic Control Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our traffic safety team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe movement of traffic through construction sites.

Responsibilities
  • Control the movement of vehicular traffic to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of construction workers.
  • Distribute traffic control signs and markers along the site in a designated pattern to guide drivers.
  • Use sign, hand, and flag signals to control traffic flow and prevent congestion.
  • Warn construction workers of approaching vehicles that fail to heed signals to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Inform drivers of detour routes through construction sites to minimize disruptions.
  • Operate company trucks as needed to transport equipment and personnel.
Requirements
  • Valid driver's license
  • Reliable vehicle
  • Able to pass a drug test
  • Comfortable standing for 8-12 hours a day in various weather conditions
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds
