Job Title: STAT Registered Nurse

Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled STAT Registered Nurse to join our team. As a STAT Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing support and direct patient care to a variety of inpatient units during peak periods of activity.

Job Summary:

The STAT Registered Nurse will ensure that adult patient care is coordinated, integrated, and evaluated consistent with policies, procedures, and standards of care at NSMC. This role requires intense attention and concentration, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide support and direct patient care to a variety of inpatient units during peak periods of activity.
  • Ensure that adult patient care is coordinated, integrated, and evaluated consistent with policies, procedures, and standards of care at NSMC.
  • Assume responsibility for the plan of care and have the authority to make decisions and be held accountable for decisions specific to assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the plan.
  • Work effectively with the multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care that address the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements:
  • BLS and ACLS certification is required at the time of hire.
  • Requires intense attention and concentration.
  • Good visual, hearing skills, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively interact with the multidisciplinary team with a wide range of personality types, ages, and diverse cultural backgrounds in a rapidly changing environment in a professional, respectful manner.
  • Excellent communication skill (verbal and written) is required in order to lead and teach.
  • Ability to interact effectively with others in difficult situations and to coordinate and effectively delegate team activities.
  • Exceptional critical thinking skills; ability to concentrate in intense situations.
  • Two years of critical care experience or emergency room experience in an academic medical center.
  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Requires a Current RN License in the State of Massachusetts, BLS, ACLS.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • BSN or MSN.
  • CCRN certification strongly preferred or obtained within 6-months of employment.
  • NHSS certification strongly preferred or obtained within 6-months of employment.
