Job Summary

TREO STAFFING LLC is seeking a skilled Fluxcore Welder to join our team. As a Fluxcore Welder, you will be responsible for welding components in various positions, laying out and securing parts, and examining workpieces for defects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welding Operations: Weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions, using stainless steel.
  • Pre-Weld Preparation: Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly, using straightedges, combination squares, calipers, and rulers.
  • Quality Control: Examine workpieces for defects and measure workpieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications.
  • Tool Operation: Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade.
  • Welding Techniques: Weld separately or in combination, using stainless steel.
  • Equipment Setup: Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind or bolt component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding.
  • Welding Materials: Select and install torches, torch tips, filler rods, and flux, according to welding chart.
  • Process Monitoring: Monitor the fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid overheating of parts or warping, shrinking, distortion, or expansion of material.
  • Documentation: Mark or tag material with proper job number, piece marks, and other identifying marks as required.
  • Post-Weld Cleanup: Chip or grind off excess weld, slag, or spatter, using hand scrapers or power chippers, portable grinders, or arc-cutting equipment.
Requirements

To be successful as a Fluxcore Welder, you will need to have a strong understanding of welding techniques, metallurgy, and geometry. You will also need to be able to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
