Job SummaryThe Dialysis Charge Nurse supervises nursing personnel to ensure the highest quality patient care and outcomes. This role requires excellent communication skills, clinical proficiency, and leadership abilities.
Responsibilities- Obtain and review patient information and consent forms before treatment
- Assist and oversee patient care staff in initiating, monitoring, and terminating dialysis treatments
- Coordinate patient scheduling and manage clinic operations
- Communicate patient status to physicians and implement orders
- Participate in patient care conferences and medical rounds
- Contribute to risk management, QAPI, and infection control committees
- Supervise initial and ongoing patient education
- Manage monthly patient lab work and oversee primary nursing teams
- Current PA RN license
- One year of dialysis nursing experience required
- Supervisory experience preferred
